Sounders and beacons with coverage data to help you plan where each device belongs.

Pfannenberg helps you plan warnings that people can hear and see. You can use its 3D-Coverage data to understand the space a device covers, taking your site’s background noise and lighting into account.

Coverage needs to reach the places where people work and move.
Background noise can mask an alarm, especially at a distance.
Bright surroundings can make a flashing beacon harder to see.
Room dimensions and device position determine the area covered.
Use the manufacturer's coverage calculator and PSS sizing software to evaluate devices in their application.
Room geometry. Environmental conditions. Device performance.
Approvals vary by device and configuration. 3D-Coverage is a planning method, separate from product certification.

PATROL Sounders And Combined Signaling
Not from the maximum dB rating alone. You also need to consider the alarm tone, distance and background noise where people will hear it.
Yes. Different lenses let through different amounts of light. Use the coverage data for the colour you plan to install.
No. You can use 3D-Coverage to help position devices. EN 54 certification tells you about the tested performance of specific fire alarm products.
Check the model’s enclosure rating, temperature limits and mounting instructions. Outdoor sunlight also affects visibility, so an indoor layout may not provide enough warning outside.
A combined unit can provide audible and visual warning at one position. Both the sound and light coverage still need to suit the people and space being protected.
Send the full part number, voltage, lens colour, mounting arrangement and alarm function. A similar-looking unit may have a different electrical load or coverage.
No. Select a device with the required fire alarm approval and confirm its supply, current demand and compatibility with the system. An industrial warning device is not automatically an approved fire alarm device.
Use the Ex-ATEX range and check the exact device certificate against the site classification. Standard PATROL and PYRA units should not be assumed suitable for a hazardous area.
Send the room dimensions, noise conditions and alarm objective.
